What You can Experience:
Swim with friendly Fur Seals, Weedy Sea Dragons and Whales
Waterfall Bay, Deep Glen Bay, Port Arthur, The Hippolyte
Sheer walls and boulder gardens teeming with reef fish. Sheltered with excellent visibility. Giant sea caves & a towering waterfall
Duration: 4 hours on the boat
Meeting Time: 7:30am for morning dive or 11:30am for afternoon dive

Sloping Island Giant Kelp Forest

Explore the giant kelp forest
Swim with friendly Seals in our favourite Australian Fur Seal colony!
Seahorses, schooling fish, and colourful invertebrates. One of the few Giant Kelp Forests left diveable close to Hobart/Tasman Peninsula.

What to Bring:
Fins, weight belt, mask and snorkel
Wetsuit with hood (minimum 2 piece, 5mm, open cell recommended)
Wetsuit gloves and socks
Wrist lanyard (if line training)
Reusable water bottle
Light snacks & warm drink (optional)
Small dry bag (vessel is a wet-deck RIB)
Warm / waterproof jacket
Hat or beanie
Sunglasses
Seasickness medication (if needed)
Towel and warm change of clothes for after the dive

Requirements to Join if Freediving:
Minimum PADI Level 1 Freediver (or equivalent), OR
Be currently undertaking a freediving course
Age Requirement:
18+ years of age
Medical Clearance:
Be medically fit to dive

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, as long as you're a confident swimmer and comfortable in the water. Your guide will brief you on techniques and stay with you throughout.

We recommend at a minimum wearing a two piece, 5mm, open cell wetsuit with hood, gloves, and socks to stay warm in Tassie's waters. Wearing a warm jacket, gloves and beanie on the boat is recommended.
