Our regular line diving sessions bring freedivers together in the ocean to practice depth work, perfect technique, and build confidence on the line. Held at accessible locations around Hobart, these 2-hour sessions offer qualified coaching, safety supervision, and the supportive community atmosphere that makes training enjoyable and effective. Whether you're maintaining skills between courses or preparing for your next certification level, line training keeps you progressing in real ocean conditions.

What is Line Training?

Depth Progression

Safely build your depth range with proper supervision, working toward personal bests while maintaining excellent form and control.

Line Technique

Master free immersion and constant weight diving, refine your duck dive, streamline your descent, and develop efficient ascent techniques.

Relaxation & Mental Skills

Deepen your ability to stay calm at depth, manage pre-dive nerves, and maintain focus throughout the dive cycle.

Ocean Confidence

Build comfort with varying conditions, boat entries, currents, and the realities of freediving outside the controlled pool environment.

Line Training

Location: Easy-to-access sites around the Hobart region (weather dependant)

Date & time: Confirmed closer to the session

Duration: 2 hour sessions

What's Included:

  • Fins, mask, and snorkel (nose clip optional)

  • Wetsuit, gloves, socks, and hood (5mm open cell recommended for Tassie waters)

  • Towel, warm change of clothes and reusable water bottle

  • Purchase your 5 or 10 Session Package then join our Line Training WhatsApp group to stay up to date on available sessions then use your purchased credits to book your desired sessions when they suit your schedule.

Single Session:

  • We select sites based on current conditions, weather, and swell to ensure the safest and best training environment. Locations are confirmed closer to the session date.

  • Safety first—we'll reschedule if conditions aren't suitable. You'll be notified in advance with options to join another session.

  • Not at all. We work with your comfort level and help you progress gradually. Many people use line training specifically to build ocean confidence.

  • You'll train within your certification limits under supervision. If you're ready to progress beyond, we'll discuss pathway to your next level certification.

  • No, line setup is provided as part of the session. Just bring your personal diving gear.

  • Tasmania's ocean ranges from 9-18°C depending on season. A good 5mm (minimum) open cell wetsuit with hood, gloves, and socks is reccomended for comfort during the 2 hours in the water.

  • No, this is ongoing skills practice and depth work for certified divers or If you need to complete your course depth goals.
